Freeshop

GIVE - TAKE - ROUND AND ROUND
All items at the Freeshop in Gerðuberg City Library are free of charge. You can bring items in good condition that you no longer need and take home anything you find useful. The Freeshop follows the opening hours of Gerðuberg and is located on the upper floor of the building.
Libraries are inherently sustainable, and the Freeshop is one of the initiatives that falls under the Green Library program. At the library, you borrow materials and then return them to circulation. With the Freeshop, we take this concept one step further in collaboration with SORPA and the City of Reykjavík's Environmental Quality Office.
We encourage visitors to rethink their consumption habits, stop by the Freeshop regularly, and take part in educational and enjoyable events at Gerðuberg.

Interested in hosting your own event at the Free Store? We welcome all green and sustainability-focused ideas!
